At the museum visitors can view the ships that were docked in Boston Harbor the night of December 8, 1773, the night of the now infamous Boston Tea Party. It was on that night that the patriots of Boston protested the increasing taxation that was occurring on many of their imported products. It has been documented that in all 342 crates of tea were destroyed and dumped into the harbor. This was a major turning point in American history and it’s all captured at the Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum.
